This weekend in Pietramuratain Trentino, the fourth stage of the Motocross World Championship took place.
In the premier class Jorge Pradoriding the GASGAS, takes home his first success of the year thanks to the victory in Race 1, heat in which conquers the holeshot and becomes unreachable for the opponents. Maxime Renaux, on the Yamaha, could have been the Spaniard’s only concern after Herlings and Febvre were involved in a bunch crash, but Prado had another pace.
In Gara 2 the fight was much more heated, with Prado trying to escape but being caught up by Renaux and Herlings, author of a comeback from ninth position. A tussle that sees the KTM rider emerge victorious, overcoming the Yamaha rider, while Prado “settles” for third place by winning the GP and extending the championship, even if by a few points.
Good performance for Mattia Guadagnini, GASGAS, 4th behind Ruben Fernandez (Honda) in Race 1 and in tenth position in Race 2. Forato (KTM) closes the Top 10.
MX2, Adamo’s success
We are 1 is dominated by Jago Geerts (Yamaha) and by Liam Everts (KTM) who, however, on the last lap, is definitively overtaken by Andrea Adamo, his teammate in the factory team. Impeccable management by the young Sicilian, never a mistake, a good start in the top five and a constant race pace.
In Gara 2 excellent start for the German Laengenfelder, while Adamo shows his full potential by turning half a second or a second faster than his colleagues. The Sicilian renounces the temptation to go and get a GASGAS driver and thanks to the constancy shown in the two races wins his first Grand Prix in the MX2 World Championship!
