MotoGp, Michele Pirro will replace Enea Bastianini in the Austin GP
After Marc Marquez, Enea Bastianini will also miss the Grand Prix of the Americas. The rider from Rimini has not yet recovered completely from the fracture of his right scapula sustained in the Sprint Race of the Portimao GP. In his place, Michele Pirro will be riding the Ducati.
“After completing a few laps at Misano with the Panigale V4S, the Ducati Lenovo Team rider underwent a further checkup in Forlì at Dr. Porcellini’s studio, who confirmed that Bastianini will need a few more weeks to able to fully recover from the injury to his right shoulder sustained in the Portuguese GP. Enea will continue his rehabilitation process with the aim of getting back on track at Jerez. In Texas, he will be replaced by Michele Pirro” this is the team statement.
In addition, the pilot himself wanted to confirm the team’s decision through his social profile: “I gave it my all and I believed in it until the end, but unfortunately the time available is too little. For this reason I will not fly to Austin, but today I got back on the bike and I found my smile again” these are the words of the centaur from Rimini.
