After Unlimited and Marc Marquez: All in, the MotoGP is trying to attract again new viewers. As reported by the journalist German Garcia Casanova of Motorsport.com Warner Bros will produce a film halfway between fiction and reality, entitled Idols.
The release of this new product is scheduled for 2025.
According to the information collected by Casanova, the main protagonist of the film would be a hypothetical Moto2 rider who arrives at the World Championship after doing all the draws from the FIM JuniorGP.
The transition to MotoGP would first take place with a wild card obtained at the end of the season.
Halfway between fiction and reality
The film would tell a made up story but using the images of real races of the three categories.
As Motorsport reports again “the idea is that it is about an action-packed teen drama,” intended “for an audience from all over the world, but above all to younger fans”. Shooting for the film is expected to start this year.
