Spider-Man has had to face many adversities and tragic situations throughout his life, which have led this character to not be the same as before, and to change his way of being throughout his long career as a hero in the Marvel Universe.
There is no doubt that very bad things have happened to the arachnid hero throughout his participation in Marvel stories. Events like his recent separation from Mary Jane, and the deaths of some of your loved ones like Uncle Ben, and his great love, Gwen Stacy.

Marvel will reverse the most tragic death in Spider-Man history
Marvel recently announced the upcoming What If…? Dark, in which some creators and writers of Marvel Comics will return to iconic stories from the franchisebut this time exploring alternate possibilities and putting a dark spin on things.
The Marvel stories entitled What If…?, which could be translated as What would happen if…?, are characterized by creating What-if scenarios and alternatives to classic and iconic stories from Marvel Comics.
The popular Marvel Comics event, What If…?, achieved transcend into the Marvel Cinematic Universebecause the franchise decided to create a Disney Plus series, titled What would happen if…?, released in 2021.
Among the comics announced for this upcoming Marvel event, we find la historieta What If…? Dark: Spider-Gwenin which the event of the death of Gwen Stacy will be addressed, only this time the roles of the girl and Spider-Man will be reversed.
Without a doubt, Gwen’s death, published in volume #121 of The Amazing Spider-Man comic from 1963 under the title The Night Gwen Stacy Died or The Night Gwen Stacy Died, has been of the most memorable events not just in Spider-Man’s life, but in Marvel and the comic book industry in general.
And it is that this story has been one of the most influential in comicsbecause it was one of the stories that marked the beginning of the “mature age” of comics, where more serious issues such as addiction and death began to be dealt with.
In this upcoming Marvel premiere, the roles of Gwen and Spider-Man will be reversedbeing that now who will die will be the arachnid hero, while Gwen must assume the responsibility of Peter as Spider-Man, becoming Spider-Gwen.
