Grammy-nominated artist and producer Marshmello delivers a fresh new single “Esta Vida,” featuring Puerto Rican singer and rapper Farruko. The music mega luminaries wowed fans together with a debut performance of the record closing Marshmello’s main set at Ultra Music Festival on the Main Stage (March 26) in front of over 50,000 fans!
The official video clip of “Esta Vida” that is coming now is directed by Justice Silvera, shows the duality of Farruko living two lives: one as a homeless man, and one as a celebrity surrounded by fame and fortune before her descent.
The release of “Esta Vida” comes alongside the success of Marshmello’s latest collaboration with Manuel Turizo. In its first month, “El Merengue” has achieved more than 87.5 million combined streams and has reached prominent positions in Spotify’s Global Top 50 (#43) and Apple Music’s Latin Top 50.
The fusion of tropical sounds continues to conquer the hearts of fans, trending in the Top 5 on YouTube and more recently peaking at #5 on Shazam as a Latin song (#60 song overall). It is currently #1 on the Tropical Airplay Chart.
These Latin collaborations mark a new era of Spanish-language music releases for Marshmello. The innovative and avant-garde DJ brought forward another unpublished song during his recent performance at EDC Mexico together with the Mexican artists Fuerza Regida and Peso Pluma.
Fans are still speculating after Marshmello revealed that he is “Working on myself… and a new album…” via his Instagram, and later posted a photo with Anuel. More to come from the Grammy-nominated artist in the Latin space as 2023 continues to unfold.
