One of the best releases for Nintendo Switch last year was Kirby and the Forgotten Land, a title that showed the little pink ball with new abilities and beautiful settings. However, one of its most criticized points was its low difficulty. Given this, the game developer affirms that the final battle was challenging.
As you will surely remember, this installment of Kirby was released in March 2022 and fell in love with the community with new character transformations that undoubtedly became the stars of the title.
Was it hard for you to finish this installment?
However, users were disappointed to see that the adventure did not offer them a significant challenge and practically all levels were very easy to pass. Even so, and in an interview with IGN, the director of the franchise, Shinya Kumazaki, considered that it was possible to challenge the players:
“For the first time in the series we provided 2 different difficulty levels to try and also provide an option for the experienced player audience to get a more satisfying gaming experience. And I think we were able to do that,” Kumazaki said.

In addition, and to prove his point, the Japanese gave the final battle of the title as an example:
“But maybe the steep uphill curve towards the end of the game, especially with the final boss, could have been something that is maybe too steep, and maybe we can consider balancing it out a bit. That is something that I want to continue exploring ”, he concluded.

As you can see, the director of Kirby and the Forgotten Land believes that in the final stretch of the game they strayed from what is usually presented in the saga and promises to continue looking for a balance so that any gamer can enjoy Kirby’s next adventures.
