After Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox, all Marvel fans wondered when was going to announce the inclusion of the Fantastic 4 in the UCMand while it’s a project that Kevin Feige announced almost early on, at the moment, the movie is building at a snail’s pace.
Or at least that is the news that reaches us, because as The Hollywood Reporter has published, Marvel Studios has hired a new writer to redo the script already written from the Fantastic 4 movie, and this is none other than Josh Friedman, the person in charge of the script for Avatar: The Sense of Water.

As reported by the web, the first script for the film with Mr. Fantastic was written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer, known for their great sense of humor, which is why it is likely that Disney has hired Friedman to give the film a change of tone and give it a more science fiction touch.
Well Friedman has worked on films such as The War of the Worlds with Steven Spielbergin addition to being responsible for the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles television series, and is a regular in James Cameron’s works, both in Terminator: Dark Fate and Avatar, where he has put his talents in the second film of the franchise.

A “fundamental pillar” for the UCM
Although there is still a complete phase to see theThe Fantastic 4 in action, as they enter Phase 6 and Marvel has just started the 5 with the premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Kevin Feige is already giving clues about what the arrival of Sue Storm and Reed Richards will mean in the UCM.
“We have planned that they become a fundamental pillar for the UCMjust like they have been in the 50 or 60 years of history they have in comics,” explained the president of Marvel Studios at a press conference in reference to the Fantastic Four.
