NEW DELHI – A 19-year-old girl in India reported to the police that she had raped en masse by four men in a speeding car in Bengaluru.
According to the victim, he was thrown into the street after the horrific attack.
Local police said the incident occurred after 9.30pm on 25 March while the victim was in Koramangala with friends.
Police have arrested four men on charges of kidnapping and gang-raping the victims.
“According to the woman’s complaint, she was with a man and was smoking. One of the suspects objected. Within minutes, her friend was allegedly threatened and kicked out of the place. The suspect called his three friends, who came to the place in a car and dragged him into (the car) ),” said Deputy Police Commissioner CK Baba, as quoted by The Indian Express, Saturday (1/4/2023).
According to Baba, the suspects traveled along Domlur, Ejipura and Hosur Roads and to many other places until 3.30am and allegedly raped the victim.
The victim, said Baba, was being treated at the hospital.
A police officer identified the four suspects who were arrested as Vijay, Sridhar, Kiran and Satish. All are in their 20s.
