CINJUR VOICE – Indonesia failed to naturalize the Dutch-born player, Justin Hubner. This was conveyed by Exco PSSI, Arya Sinulingga.
“So we are not proceeding with the naturalization of Hubner, because there is a request from Hubner that we cannot fulfill,” Arya said as quoted by the Antara news agency, Tuesday (18/4/2023).
Arya also emphasized that his party did not hinder the naturalization process by continuing to communicate with Justin Hubner.
“What is certain is this, we have no intention to hinder. There is communication, there is such a thing as personal approach, then family. Usually they will appoint an agent after that. We just processed it, “continued Arya.

Previously, Justin Hubner’s naturalization process contained polemics. The Wolverhampton U21 player said that PSSI had not contacted him at all.
“No one has contacted me, so my agent and I cannot negotiate. I still really want to play for Indonesia. However, until now no one from PSSI has spoken to you,” said Justin Hubner, quoted from the Instagram page @timnasgoal, Tuesday (18/4/2023).
Meanwhile, Arya Sinulingga said that his party was continuing to negotiate.
“So now because there is no U-20 World Cup, we are negotiating again. According to sources we have, two players have shown a bright spot, while one more player is still negotiating,” said Arya.
These two versions caused the naturalization process to become polemic. However, it is now certain that Justin Hubner failed to naturalize.
