The cause of this flash flood was due to heavy rains that occurred in mountainous areas in Karo Regency.
“Considering that it is still raining in Berastagi, it is estimated that the water discharge has not yet come down,” he said.
In the Berastagi area, river water has overflowed into the main road. Therefore, people who want to travel from Medan to Berastagi or the other way around are expected to be careful.
Likewise with the community visitors to natural attractions in Deli Serdang-Karo to be aware of this condition.
“In Deli Serdang, there are many natural tourist sites for water tourism. We urge the public to be vigilant and pay attention to our officers in the field when they are ordered to rise. Because the water is sudden,” he said.
