Suara.com – Eid al-Fitr 1444H/2023 is expected to be different between Muhammadiyah, NU and the Government. This difference often occurs in Indonesia, not because of the reckoning and rukyat methods, but because of different criteria. So when is Eid al-Fitr 2023 Muhammadiyah? Find out the schedule below.
The existence of different criteria in determining Eid al-Fitr was revealed by Research Professor of Astronomy-Astrophysics of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Thomas Djamaluddin. The hilal hilal criterion is usually used by Muhammadiyah, while the hilal imkan (hilal visibility) criterion will be used by Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and several other religious organizations in Indonesia.
As previously known, the Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PP) has previously set the beginning of the month of Ramadan in 2023. This includes the establishment of the Muhammadiyah version of Eid al-Fitr 2023.

Muhamaddiyah Eid al-Fitr 2023 Schedule
The schedule for Eid al-Fitr 2023 according to PP Muhammadiyah is set based on the results of reckoning Ramadhan, Shawwal and Dulhijah 1444 Hijriah.
Previously, PP Muhammadiyah had set the beginning of Ramadan to fall on March 23 2023 and according to PP Muhammadiyah Hari Raya Idul Fitri would fall on 21 April 2023. Does this mean that the government will follow the Eid Al-Fitr 2023 schedule set by Muhammadiyah? So Eid 2023 between Muhammadiyah and the government will be the same or different?
