PURWOKERTO.SUARA.COM, BANYUMAS – East Purwokerto Police, Banyumas Police, Central Java Regional Police confiscated dozens of bottles of liquor and ciu during an operation to create conditions in the East Purwokerto District area, Saturday (8/4/23).
Banyumas Police Chief Kombes Pol Edy Suranta Sitepu through the East Purwokerto Police Chief AKBP Sambas Budi Waluyo, said the raid on alcohol was carried out to prevent people from getting sick, especially in the holy month of Ramadan 1444 H.
“We have raided liquor selling stalls in the East Purwokerto area that do not have permits and have managed to secure 85 bottles of various brands of liquor and 4.5 liters of ciu type of liquor,” said the police chief.
He said the dozens of bottles of liquor and kisses were immediately secured to the East Purwokerto Police Headquarters and their owners for further questioning.

According to the Kapolsek, liquor raids are being carried out, one of which is to maintain regional conduciveness and to anticipate criminal acts due to alcohol in the jurisdiction of the East Purwokerto Police.
“Several criminal acts often occur as a result of the perpetrator being under the influence of alcohol,” said the police chief.
The Kapolsek also hopes that this activity can prevent community diseases as well as provide a sense of security, comfort, and create conduciveness for the people in his area, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. ***
