After teasing it mid-week, LEGO has finally announced the series’ full lineup of products. LEGO Donkey Kongan expansion to the already vast LEGO Super Mario range, which first hit stores in 2020.
Donkey Kong, Cranky Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong y Funky Kong will arrive in the form of LEGO figures in four new productsfull of references to the Donkey Kong Country games, the modern ones from Retro Studios and the old ones from Rare.
Their prices are around 9.99 euros (for Rambi the rhinoceros) and 105 euros for the largest set, with the levels of the wagons that have inspired a future roller coaster.
The new LEGO Donkey Kong sets, on sale on August 1
These are the 4 sets that will go on sale on August 1, as an expansion for LEGO Super Mario (other larger sets, such as Bowser’s Castle, will be released on the same day).
Expansion Set: Donkey Kong Treehouse: This set is the main one, because it comes with the Donkey Kong figure, where you can ride Mario, Luigi or Peach; the figure of Cranky Kong and also the cabin of Donkey Kong full of details. 64,99 €
Expansion Set: Diddy Kong’s Mine Cart: This is the largest set in LEGO DK, and it comes with Diddy Kong and Funky Kong figures, along with 1,157 pieces with which you can build the cart levels, or the Funky Kong stand. 104,99 €
Expansion Set: Jungle Ruckus with Dixie Kong: This smaller set comes with the Dixie Kong figure and Squawks the parrot, but it’s also interactive: the Mario, Luigi and Peach figures will be able to play music. 26,99 €
Expansion Set: Rambi the Rhino: This tiny pack allows you to add Rambi the rhinoceros, on which Mario, Luigi or Peach can ride (despite the fact that in the games it is Donkey Kong who rides on it). 9,99 €
