In mid-March, the second cultural bonus for young people was approved under new conditions: basically those young people who turn 18 in 2023 will be able to benefit from 400 euros, but not for any type of expense.
As we originally explained, this new aid has been approved for those people who turn 18 in 2023, being able to allocate different amounts for various arts.
This balance for the bono cultural it can be received as a prepaid card to have it physically or virtually on the mobile, and it can be spent in affiliated services or establishments.
But you will not be able to spend the 400 euros on whatever you want, but that amount will have to be divided into three large categories.
What can you spend the Youth Cultural Bonus 2023 on?
€200 can be spent on live arts, cultural heritage and audiovisual arts. €100 can be spent on physical cultural products such as books, magazines and even video games or music records. And the remaining €100 may be used for digital consumption, and this is where subscriptions to platforms such as Netflix o Spotify.
Thus, yes, you can use the youth cultural bonus to subscribe to Netflix, Spotify or make purchases on Amazon, but only €100 of the €400 bonus can be used.
Also, you have to read the fine print. because you can only subscribe to Spotify or Netflix for a maximum of four months paying with the youth cultural voucher: from the fifth month you will have to change the payment method.
And to subscribe to Spotify or Netflix, you must do so by acquiring the corresponding prepaid cards in the establishments adhering to the youth cultural voucher, because at the moment these services do not allow payment through this form on their websites.
In this way, the €400 youth cultural voucher allows young people who turn 18 in 2023 to have a good balance to pay for all kinds of products and services, but having to allocate it to different categories in a forced way.
