Studio Wildcard leave several announcements for PCSteam Deck, PS4, PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, such as the delay of ARK II, the announcement of ARK Survival Ascended as remaster and the shutdown of ARK: Survival Evolved servers.

In addition to other new features, ARK: Survival Ascended includes these enhancements and additions: Patch with Nanite, Lumen, and RTXDI, Dynamic Water, Interactive Foliage, and Performance Improvements with Instanced Rendering, Threaded Server Network, and Native Physics Engine.
To this we add cross-platform multiplayer, Anti-Cheat and the new game mode Survival of the Fittest. The materials have also been improved and the events redesigned with new content, quality improvements, balances and gameplay changes.
Studio Wildcard continues to work on ARK: Survival Ascended and ARK II
Now it’s time to talk about delay in ARK IIwhich is no longer coming out in 2023. The Xbox Series X|S exclusive prehistoric sequel is now planned for a late 2024 release on Microsoft consoles and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store in addition to Xbox Game Pass
This is the message that you have offered since Studio Wildcard on game lagin which they comment on why they have decided this and apologize to the users of the game.
After careful consideration we have decided to delay the release of the sequel until late 2024, when it will continue to be released exclusively on Xbox, Game Pass and Windows (Steam / PC) distribution platforms.
We have put a lot of thought into delaying ARK II to improve the final product and the well-being of the team. This news will disappoint many – we are sorry too – but we trust that this tough decision is the right one.
Our goal is to make ARK II the best game possible and provide an exceptional and rewarding experience. Unreal Engine 5 is incredibly new technology for us (…) and our goal is to take advantage of it to create a game with a scope never seen before in Studio Wildcard.
As we learn more about the engine and develop the sequel, we’ve adapted our workflows and tuned our pipelines to accommodate this new next-gen paradigm, because of all that that entails, we need more time.
We sincerely apologize for this delay and thank you for your understanding. Your support and passion are vital to us, and we will continue to work hard to offer you the best next-generation dinosaur survival experience.
With this in mind, we don’t plan to show any ARK II gameplay, screenshots, or videos this year; but we intend to keep you informed with the development process by regularly showing more elements of ARK II in the coming months, until we can present the game next year.
The last known of new game from Studio Wildcard is that -as they commented- their hand-to-hand combat is similar to soulslike.
For now there is no choice but to continue waiting for more news about this new exclusive game for Xbox Series X | S and PC with Vin Diesel while they work on the remaster for the new generation.
Maybe ARK II will be delayed to 2024 and in 2023 we will have ARK Survival Ascended on Unreal Engine 5 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PCbut until then there are still many months ahead.
