2016 was the year that King’s Day was celebrated in Zwolle. Together with Queen Máxima and their daughters, the king spent a few hours in the provincial capital, where they received a warm welcome. They walked a route through the city and were presented with performances, sports activities and a parade. The visit ended with a performance by Typhoon, after which Willem-Alexander thanked the city with the classic of Koot en Bie: “Zwolle sans mad, it’s an end of town!”
