The Superpole Race is interrupted by red flags at the start of the second lap after the riders in turn 1, a few meters after the start Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK), Loris Baz (Bonovo Action BMW) and Daniel Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team WorldSBK) crash. The latter manages to continue, while the incident ends up under investigation by the commissioners. The next round another fall, with Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) which ends up in the gravel and the race is stopped again. However, the Northern Irishman managed to bring the bike back to the pits, and at the start he set off again together with Lowes and Baz.
When the traffic light goes out Razgatlioglu and Bautista start a spectacular fight, with the Spaniard being attacked by Rea on the fourth lap who moved into second position. The Northern Irishman took a big risk with his overtaking in turn 12, perhaps too risky, but he remains standing while Bautista crashes on the following lap. Andrea Locatelli (Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK) took the opportunity to move into second position ahead of Lowes.
Finally, Rea closed the Superpole Race in fourth position, preceding Axel Bassani (Motocorsa Racing) by just one tenth: sixth place for xavi virgin (Team HRC).
