Without a doubt, one of the most successful video games in recent years is Valheim, a Viking title that conquered the popularity charts on PC. After a long wait, Xbox console users can now enjoy it at no additional cost through the Xbox Game Pass service. Now, will it ever come to PlayStation platforms? New track suggests so.
Valheim came to Xbox Game Pass; It’s a temporary Xbox exclusive.
As highlighted by Twisted Voxel, Microsoft sent an email to some Xbox Game Pass members reminding them that the survival game came to the subscription service. However, at the bottom you can read a legend indicating that Xbox has a 6-month period of exclusivity on consoles.
On paper, Microsoft’s text suggests that Valheim could reach PlayStation consoles when the exclusivity period ends. However, it’s important to note that, as of this writing, neither Coffee Stain Studios nor Iron Gate Studio have confirmed that a version for Sony platforms is on the way.

So we’ll have to wait and see if the popular multiplayer survival hit is coming to PlayStation 4 and/or PlayStation 5 sometime this year.
In case you don’t know it, Valheim is a title with a Nordic setting where players must search for resources and face the dangers of the place to survive. It debuted in early 2021 on PC and immediately became a smash hit, selling millions of units and receiving praise from the community.

Following its original release on Steam, Valheim debuted on PC Game Pass last year. Its recent debut on Xbox Game Pass marks the first time it’s been available for any of the home consoles.
