What’s new in iOS 16.4
Then we go with the list of improvements and bug fixes that have reached the iPhone with iOS 16.4. Instead of giving you long explanations, we are going to put them in a list format to make it easier for you.
Apple Music Classical: The main novelty of this new version is the arrival of Apple Music Classical, which is the streaming service dedicated solely to classical music. It is a new service with an independent app, but it is integrated into the Apple Music subscription.
Improved phone calls: A new voice isolation system is implemented to improve the sound quality of phone calls. It does this by putting your voice in the foreground and blocking out ambient noise.
Changes in the Home app: This app launches a new architecture for HomeKid. This change will not change anything in the app’s interface, but they are internal changes that will make the system faster and more reliable.
Display always on in concentration state: By configuring your concentration states, in each one you can configure if you want to keep the phone’s screen always on or not.
Detection of duplicate videos and photos: Added a Duplicates album in the Photos app where you can view duplicate photos and videos.
Mastodon en iMessages: The links that you send from Mastodon within iMessages will have their own preview like those of other social networks.
Web push notifications: Notifications from web pages are added to the home screen of your iPhone.
Portfolio Improvements: The Wallet application will now have a new widget with which you can track your orders.
Shortcut Improvements: New options for creating more complex shortcuts are added to the Siri Shortcuts app.
new emoji: 21 new emoji are added to the operating system, including a jellyfish, a goose, a flute or new colors for hearts.
Beta Channel Changes: It is now easier to choose the beta or stable channel for iOS updates, although more restrictive.
more tips: The Tips app now implements user guides for each device.
Improvements in emergency calls: Improved to avoid detecting false emergencies. This will avoid cases such as detecting accidents when the owner is on a roller coaster.
Books app improvements: When turning a page, there will be a new animation that will make everything look more like paper.
More VoiceOver: This feature is now compatible with maps in the Weather app.
New accessibility setting: Set to dim a video automatically if it is detected to have strobes.
Error correction: Purchases made by kids are now showing up on parent devices, and Matter-enabled thermostats are now responsive when paired in Apple Home.
This new update will take you like all other operating system updates, and the iPhone will let you know with a notification that you have it available. You can also search for it by hand by entering the iPhone settings, clicking on General and entering the option Software update so that it appears inside you.
