Kirby directors Shinya Kumazaki and Tatsuya Kamiyama were on hand at the Game Developers Conference 2023 to discuss the challenges in creating Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
The attendees took the opportunity to ask unusual questions that have not been asked out of pity and thanks to them we know that Kirby is a neutral character in terms of extreme feelings that the player might not feel when playing, such as hatred or crying. For this same reason Kirby does not fall in love with something or someone in a game, but the creators do not rule out that, if the design allows it, Kirby blushes or his eyes turn into hearts.
“We haven’t had a title in the series focused on falling in love. Personally, I hope Kirby remains the type of character who takes things as they come,” Kumazaki expressed, while Kamiyama noted that Kirby’s only love is delicious food.

What happens to what Kirby absorbs?
Another question that the creatives answered to Polygon is what happens when Kirby absorbs another Kirby. Nothing would just happen, but Kumazaki confessed that it would be interesting if another Kirby appeared.
On the other hand, the creative revealed that Kirby does not digest his enemies that he absorbs for obvious reasons, so so that this was not grotesque or violent, it was decided that the ingested character would disappear for a moment and reappear in another part of the world.

What happens if Kirby absorbs a sexy or attractive person?
However, this led to a very interesting question, courtesy of Wired staff writer, Megan Farokhmanesh: what if Kirby absorbs a sexy, attractive or hunky person, will he become one?
Kumazaki responded to the question and confirmed that while Kirby would capture the handsome man’s power and muscles, his face would not change, but at best he would probably receive a hat to project it on. [la habilidad de ser guapo]so no sharp jaw lines or more refined features: “I’d stay round.”
