On Friday, a perturbation in transit over central Europe (the 11th of the month) will also cross Northern Italy bringing some scattered rainfall on alpine areas, isolated in Liguria and in the evening on the plains. A day with little or no disturbances is expected for Saturday 1st April, with clear up in all regions and some instability mainly in the Northeast; however, intense westerly winds will blow on the west and south seas and Foehn winds in the north-west valleys. On Sunday, instability increases in the Centre-South due to the arrival of a perturbed front of Atlantic origin (perturbation No. 1 in April) which then at the beginning of next week will give rise to the formation of a deep low pressure vortex which will be positioned in the South; the North will only be partially affected on Sunday with some showers, more likely in the eastern sector. On Monday the low pressure center located in the southern regions will activate strong winds in the centre-south and on the upper Adriatic and will call colder air with consequent thermal decrease.

Mainly day sunny on the main islands and in the extreme south. Cloudy skies in the northern regions with scattered rainfall concentrated above all on the alpine areas (share neve high but progressively decreasing until around 1400-1500 in the evening on the western sectors); some weak and isolated rain possible during the day in Friuli Venezia-Giulia and in the Levante Ligure sector. In the evening possibility of scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms also on the Po valley. In the center cloudiness variable. Temperature: highs growing in the South, in Sicily and on Tyrrhenian Sardinia with values around 20 degrees but with peaks even close to 25 in the east and south of Sardinia; temperatures decreasing in the alpine areas. Southern winds intensifying to moderate or locally tense. Mostly wavy seas.

In the morning light snow possible in the Alpine border sectors of Valle d’Aosta and upper Piedmont above 1000-1200 metres; irregular cloudiness in the extreme northeast, in the internal areas of the centre, in Campania and in Calabria; occasional rains on Tyrrhenian Calabria. Sky sereno or little cloudy in the rest of Italy. In the afternoon mostly sunny weather in most regions, with a tendency to increase cloudiness in Sicily. Possible isolated thunderstorms on the Alpine and pre-Alpine areas of the Northeast. Temperature: lows on the increase in the central-southern regions and Sicily; peaks up in the North, down in Sardinia.
Windy due to mistral on Sardinia and on the middle and lower Tyrrhenian Sea; foehn in the northwestern Alpine valleys. Seas: mainly the Adriatic is not rough; from rough to very rough the other seas, up to agitated Seas of Corsica and Sardinia.
