Apple has just announced the date and a few other details for its annual developer conference. We are talking about the WWDC 2023a multi-day event that will take place between June 5 and 9 online, although some people will have the opportunity to participate in person in certain activities in Apple Park.
If we stick to the official statement, at the conference we will discover the latest news about iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS. The truth is that it is possible that there are announcements that go beyond what is related to the software. At WWDC 2022, without going any further, the company presented its M2 processors with the new MacBook Air.
Another mainly online event
Before 2020, Apple’s developer conferences were held in person. For five days, developers from all over the world came to California to immerse themselves in a in person experience. Regardless of the sessions, there was also a keynote with news for the entire public.
This changed drastically with the arrival of COVID-19. The company opted for online events, and with the relief of the pandemic, it gradually relaxed its sanitary measures. This year we find that WWDC 2023 will take place online for another year. However, some developers and students will be able to attend Apple Park.
As last year, the space to attend the “face-to-face experience” will take place on June 5 and will be limited in number of attendees. All those interested in attending the event in person can find all the details on the event page or directly in the WWDC 2023 application for iOS devices.
As for the surprises that could come with the event, the rumor mill has been in charge of building a good base of possibilities. According to Mark Gurman, at the event we could see Apple’s long-awaited mixed reality glasses, although there is also the possibility that they will announce new Mac Pro 2023 and even a new 15-inch MacBook Air.
