Buya Yahya explained that if someone has sexual intercourse during the day and understands their fragrance, then it is a big sin.
“For someone who has sex during the day, during the month of Ramadan, and he understands its fragrance, and that breaks the fast, then it is a big sin,” said Buya.
However, if there is a husband and wife who have intercourse during the day during the month of Ramadan because they forget without pretending, their fast is still valid.
“After having sex with your wife, chatting with your wife, you realize, ‘Astagfirullah, we are fasting,’ then your fast is valid,” he said.
