KIEV, 13 MAR – “Violent fighting” with Russian forces is underway for the center of Bakhmut, in eastern Ukraine. This was stated by the commander of the ground troops in Kiev and the information was also confirmed by the Russian side. The Russians “attack from multiple directions” to “advance towards the central districts”, said commander Syrsky, quoted by the army press office. “All attempts by the enemy to capture the city are repulsed by artillery, tanks and other firepower. The defense of the fortress continues!” Sirsky stressed. “The closer we are to the city center, the more violent the fighting,” added Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner group. (HANDLE).
