Jorge Lorenzo offers an important comparison
The double podium of Fernando Alonso is still making noise, who at the age of 41 returned to the top of Formula 1 at the wheel of the Aston Martin and is currently third in the overall standings of the 2023 World Championship, behind only the elusive Red Bull drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
The greatness of the Asturian is recognized across the board, as demonstrated by the words of Jorge Lorenzo during an event organized by the Spanish magazine ‘Marca’. The two-time MotoGP champion bothered his all-time rival, Valentino Rossi, to make a comparison: “Fernando is a hyper-competitive ‘beast’, even more than Rossi and more than me. He doesn’t feel tired, every year he gets excited even with cars that aren’t very fast, and he’s always found reasons to keep going, like ‘El Plan’, his plan to get back to the top positions”.
