A few moments ago, Twitter reported that as of April 1 it will remove verification from accounts that already had that status before the changes that were made after the acquisition, that is, those that built their credibility in terms of the parameters of the social network and that was granted to media, organizations, brands, figures from different sectors, etc. First, those interested in having the famous blue popcorn were invited to immediately join Twitter Blue, which currently has a monthly plan of $145 MXN per month and $126.67 MXN if you opt for the annual payment.

However, the coup comes next as the Elon Musk era has been inaugurated in the following way. According to the new Twitter policies, the media, organizations and governments will be able to choose to obtain the golden check mark, that is, the most important verification, but now they will have to pay for it.
In this sense, the social network reported that it will charge $1,000 USD plus taxes each month to verify a company, medium or government, with the option of extending said verification to affiliates in exchange for $50 USD plus monthly taxes. In the case of Mexico, those interested must pay $19,000 MXN and $950 MXN per affiliate each month. It should be noted that this change will take place on Twitter on April 1 in the following countries: “United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Mexico, Israel, and Brazil.
