ROME, 08 MAR – In January 2023, a cyclical increase for retail sales of 1.7% in value and 1.2% in volume is estimated. This was revealed by Istat, emphasizing that on an annual basis there was an increase of 6.2% in value and a decrease of 2.4% in volume. The data is linked to the growth of prices. On a trend basis, a similar trend was recorded in January both for the sales of food goods (+7.5% in value and -4.4% in volume) and for those of non-food goods (+5.2% in value and -0.9% by volume).
