Two months after its premiere on HBO Max, Joel’s journey and Ellie reached its conclusion yesterday with episode 1×09 that closed season 1 of The Last of Us, which fully adapts the first part of the Naughty Dog video game saga with some additions to complete the experience for those who want to return to play it or enter it game for the first time.
Made by the creator of the game himself, Neil Druckmantogether with the creator of Chernobyl, Craig Mazinthe plot of The Last of Us presents us with a post-apocalyptic world resulting from the evolution of a parasitic fungus known as Cordyceps that has infected a large part of the human population, turning them into dangerous and lethal killing machines.
Under this premise we have Joel, a man who tragically lost his daughter twenty years ago, during the beginning of the outbreak. Dedicating himself to smuggling together with his partner Tess, one day they receive the unusual task of transporting a 14-year-old girl named Ellie to the base of a group of rebels known as the Fireflies.
Shortly after starting the trip, our protagonists discover that the girl has the bite mark of an infected person, to which Ellie reveals that for some reason she is immune to the virus. fungus and that the true goal of the Fireflies is take it to a laboratory to analyze it and try to find a cure to save humanity.

There will be four different editions according to the interests of each one: DVD, Blu-Ray, 4K Ultra HD + Blu-Ray and Steelbook 4K Ultra HD (the latter without Blu-Ray discs). The discs will have Dolby Atmos sound for the original version in English and Dolby Digital 5.1 for the version dubbed in Spanish.
