Thursday evening in Hamburg, a city in northern Germany, there was a shooting in which some people were killed, it is not yet clear how many: the local news agency dpa (Deutsche Presse-Agentur) spoke of «several» people killed and “some injured”. No information is yet available on who was responsible for the attack and exactly how it took place.
From the first available information it seems that the attack was carried out in a religious meeting place, according to some reconstructions for Jehovah’s Witnesses, in the Gross Borstel district, in the northern part of the city. In the meantime, the police have announced that they have launched a security operation in the area.
