Gun Interactive, publisher of The Texas Chain Saw Massacrecommunicated that the asymmetric multiplayer game developed by Sumo Digital will be released on August 18, 2023 are PCPS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S (will be on Game Pass), in honor of the date on which the events of the 1974 Tobe Hooper-directed film known to us as Do not open that door.
It was also announced a technical test on May 25, 2023, marking the first opportunity for fans to experience the terror and brutal intensity that first shocked audiences nearly fifty years ago. Here is the announcement trailer:
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an asymmetrical multiplayer escape game along the lines of the popular one Dead by Daylight. Players control victims or members of the Slaughter family, including the infamous Leatherface, in a ferocious 3v4 game that takes the tension and suspense of the film and repackages it into thrilling, competitive action.
As victims we will have to use our ingenuity and stealth to stay out of reach of our tormentors and find the tools necessary to save our skin, while the players as the Slaughter Family will have to look for us, track us down and stop us from escaping.
