The new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE 2023 is a medium-capacity road enduro, which shares the technical base with the naked GSX-8S, equipped with the new 776 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, delivering 83 HP at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm. Controlled in ride by wire, it has a 270° crankshaft, Suzuki Cross Balancer system to eliminate vibrations, assisted clutch, up/down electronic gearbox. The SIRS system (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System), which allows you to select the modes, then the delivery and traction control. In this case it has plus G (Gravel) mode, tuned for off-road driving, with traction control that allows greater drift; this is accompanied by the ABS which can work in front-only mode. All functions are controlled with the 5” color TFT.
The chassis is equipped with Hitachi Astemo (Showa) dallincreased travel for off-road use: upside down fork and piggyback shock absorber; both units are fully adjustable. The spoked rims, 21″ at the front and 17″ the rear are fitted with semi-knob Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tires in sizes 90/90 and 150/70. The tank is 20 litres; the standard equipment includes the three-position adjustable windshield and the luggage rack. The curb weight is 230 kg.
