The new GSX-8S it is a naked with excellent performance, powered by a new 83 HP 800 cc parallel twin-cylinder, set on a compact, sporty-cut frame. It is designed to be versatile, easy and comfortable, interpretable both as a sport and as a tourist. It is a completely new project, starting from the 776 cc engine with a 270° crankshaft to “remember” the character of the appreciated SV650 and has the Suzuki Cross Balancer, a two countershaft balancing system (one dedicated for each piston), which aims to eliminate vibrations and create a more compact crankcase; delivers 83 HP at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm.
The SIRS system (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System), thanks to the ride by wire, allows you to select the modes, then manage the response to the accelerator and the level of traction control (there are 3 and it can be excluded); everything is managed by the 5” color TFT with two modes (day and night). In addition, there is the assisted clutch, the up/down electronic gearbox and the start-up assistance function, which prevents it from switching off. The diamond-shaped frame, in steel tubes with aluminum swingarm, is completed with KYB suspensions: upside-down fork and shock absorber, with adjustable preload; the 17” rims are fitted with Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport2 tires in sizes 120/70 and 180/55; braking is entrusted to a double 310 mm disc with radially mounted calipers. The tank is 14 litres; the saddle is at a height of 810 mm from the ground and the curb weight is 202 kg.
