A good way to shorten the wait until the release of the Resident Evil 4 remake is by enjoying the demo that Capcom has recently enabled under the name of Chainsaw Demo, a free trial that takes place at the beginning of the adventure when Leon arrives at the town and a multitude of ruthless enemies are waiting for him, including the one who uses the chainsaw.
One point in favor of this advance is that you can play it as many times as you want without any problem, which will help you to train until the title arrives next week. However, if you are one of those who have already completed it and feel like facing a new challenge, you will be happy to know that it exists a higher level of difficulty.
That same causes the demo to be renamed Mad Chainsaw Mode, considerably increasing the challenge of completing it, since the enemies become more powerful and resistant, as well as the places in which they will appear will be different. As if that wasn’t enough, there are no save points, so you only have a single attempt to get through it from start to finish.
However, one drawback is that this difficulty level is secret and usually appears after completing the demo for the first time, but this is not always the case. Some players have discovered that by starting the game over and over again there is a chance that the option to choose this difficulty will appear.
The good news is that there is a way to make the difficulty permanent, as YouTuber 7rayD has discovered. To do this, it is necessary to follow the steps of a trick that consists of press a series of certain buttons on the joystick from the home screen of the demo. From there, depending on the version you play, this is the combination to follow:
PS5: hold R1 + L1 and press up, left, down, right, square, triangle, circle, x, x
Xbox: Hold RB + LB and press Up, Left, Down, Right, X, Y, B, A, A
PC: press up, left, down, right, R, I, left control, spacebar, spacebar
In this way, after performing this combination correctly, you will be able to play whenever you want at this level of difficulty, on which the demo itself indicates that it is exclusive to this trial version, so it will not be available in the final version of Resident Evil 4 Remake which will go on sale March 24th en PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S y PC.
