Rumors and clues about a possible remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater have been circulating the internet for a long time. Although it remains to be seen if the project is real, now a trusted journalist has spoken about it and commented that the official announcement could take place this summer.
A few weeks ago, the VGC medium commented on its podcast that Konami will attend E3 2023 and surprise the community with important announcements about Castlevania and Metal Gear. It is estimated that the rumored remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is one of the projects that will show in the showcase.

However, with the fate of the gaming event in doubt, many fans are beginning to wonder if Konami will announce the supposed return of Snake and The Boss this year. Andy Robinson, a journalist for VGC, commented that the company will still make the disclosure in case the show doesn’t happen.
In addition, Andy Robinson points out that the aforementioned remake of the third installment will debut sometime in 2024, and comments that there are plans for relaunches of other titles in the popular Hideo Kojima franchise. Lastly, he says that Konami will start its marketing plans during the E3 2023 window.

Certainly, there are plenty of clues to suggest that Metal Gear Solid 3 will return with a high-profile remake. Asian studio Virtuos is reportedly in charge of the project. Of course, Konami has not yet confirmed the existence of the new version of that title at the time of writing these lines, so we recommend taking this rumor with reservations and waiting for an official announcement to avoid disappointment.
