We show you how Lance Henriksen would have looked in the role of Terminator, James Cameron’s first choice, and which ultimately went to Schwarzenegger
The picture of Schwarzenegger como Terminator it’s iconic. Indivisible. Both are one. But originally, what some will not know, is that James Cameron, director of the film, had another actor in mind for the role: Lance Henriksenknown for his role in ‘Aliens return’also from Cameron.
Now, thanks to an impressive fanart of the artist Peter Murphywe can see what Henriksen would have looked like as the T-800.
A fanart shows what Henriksen would have looked like in the role of Terminator
Henriksen’s bust shows the metal endoskeleton partially exposed on his face and wearing the iconic .45 Longslide pistol with laser sight that appears in the film. Although the fanart shows an interesting version of the T-800, Henriksen is not as imposing as Schwarzenegger in the saga. He could end up being so terrifying and with that characteristic absence of soul, but no, he is not that colossal.
Since Cameron stopped directing the saga, there have been several attempts to revive it with films, but none have managed to match the success of the first installments. Fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with the results and the franchise seems to have lost its original luster.
Will it be possible to recover the lost magic in future installments from Cameron’s hand again? Only time will tell.
