Matthijs de Ligt and Mats Wieffer start the home match against Gibraltar with the Dutch national team. The Bayern Munich defender has recovered from a stomach flu. Wieffer makes his debut for the national team in De Kuip.
De Ligt missed Friday’s lost game with France (4-0). According to national coach Ronald Koeman, Wieffer was also insufficiently fit for a basic place in Stade de France. The 23-year-old Wieffer made the switch from Excelsior to Feyenoord last year.
Right back Denzel Dumfries returns after a suspension. Cody Gakpo, recovered from a stomach flu, is sitting on the bench when the game kicks off at 8:45 PM.
