The partnership between the leading company in large-scale distribution and the FIGC was announced at the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano
Esselunga, a leading company in Italian large-scale distribution, is the new premium partner of the Italian national football teams: the partnership with the FIGC was announced today at the Federal Technical Center in Coverciano. Under the agreement, the Italian large-scale retail chain will support all the national teams: the blue and the blue, the youth teams, futsal, beach soccer and e-sports.
Commitment and dedication

Roberto Selva, Esselunga’s Chief Marketing & Customer Officer, commented: “We are truly happy to be able to accompany the Azzurri in the challenges of the coming years, with all the strength of our people and our customers who will be with us, match after match, cheer for Italy. Sport is passion, commitment, dedication, values that inspire our company every day. Esselunga is proudly Italian and with this partnership it confirms its vocation for excellence, just as the national football teams represent Italian sport par excellence”. Giovanni Valentini, Head of Revenues FIGC, said: “We are proud to present the partnership between the national teams and Esselunga, for the values that have always accompanied the brand in its relationship with customers and with the people who are part of the company. Its Italian identity and attention in the selection of quality products from our country have been decisive factors in linking the Maglia Azzurra to Esselunga. Together, I am convinced that we will be able to convey important messages to young people for a healthy lifestyle, through correct choices in nutrition, which is one of the issues on which the FIGC is most committed, especially in the grassroots age groups”.
Sport always in the sights

Esselunga, already a sponsor of Coni and of the upcoming Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, therefore continues its path in support of sport, a passion that unites all of Italy with the Azzurri. Today the group, manufacturer as well as distributor, has 25,000 employees and 5.7 million loyal customers and more than 180 stores. Its story begins in 1957 in Milan with the opening of the first supermarket in Italy: the enhancement of the territory and the centrality of Made in Italy, key elements of all national sports teams, have always been a prerogative of the company.
