Here’s how the weekend dedicated to off-road driving organized by the Federal Motorally School went

Now in its sixteenth edition saw the participation of about fifty pilots almost all at the first navigation experience with Trip and Road Book.
The event took place in a resort in the center of a splendid valley near Foligno. Punctual and precise the organization of the RMG with the directives of the Rally Coordinator Antonio Assirelli and with the collaboration of Foligno motorcycle club chaired by Dario Signorelli. Dario boasts a great experience with dozens of competitions organized since the dawn of the specialty and wanted the School to be dedicated to Maurizio Monini Bonini.
On the field the best technicians of the Federation by the multi-titled Matteo Graziani, universally recognized as the number one of the discipline, to the expert Glauco Ciarpaglini up to Leo Tonelli young and beautiful reality. To take care of the athletic preparation that great guru of Maurice Milana, one of the most highly rated technicians in the sector, who has been following the Motorally riders with extreme professionalism for years. The commitment of Massimo “Bubi” Chinaglia that with the help, on this occasion, of Antonio Bozzi managed to equip a dozen pilots with instruments for navigation. Bubi has become the leading expert on mechanical instruments and has provided everyone with advice on their assembly and management.
Also present Robert Zanetti with the latest version of its electronic tool e Paul Venice with a further variation on the theme.
In the classroom, on Friday, the students they had the opportunity to learn everything concerning the specialty in the best possible way. First of all the navigation technique with the interpretation of the Road Book, then the competition regulations and some dictates on athletic training and nutrition to better face off-road driving. A particular session was dedicated to the notes of the guide with GPS which this year will be the navigation tool of the newborn GPX class institutionalized in the rank of Italian Championship and open to all motorcycles with engine capacity above 600 cc.
Saturday and Sunday the long-awaited practical tests where, on the fantastic tracks of the mountains of Foligno, the boys they were able to put into practice the lessons received. In the end, everyone satisfied and enjoyed the experience was rewarded with a certificate of participation, by Antonio Assirelli and Raffaele Prisco National Coordinator of Federal Technicians.
The only negative note is the presence of only one girl, Elisa Gallorini, after the numerous female presences of the past editions. eliza, stubborn and stubborn, he has only been off-roading for a couple of years; thanks also to the Motorally School and the Technical Colleges organized by the Women’s Commission of Monica Goi she even finished on the podium last season. A nice little flower for the Federation’s buttonhole.
A series of promotional activities are in the pipeline to encourage girls to participate. Thanks to the availability of the organizing Motoclubs all Motorally debutantes will have free registration at the races and a series of prizes aside of the Saralenzipilota Association. The same opportunity will also be reserved for the very young of the 50 class.
It will be up and running in a few weeks the first championship race in Rio Torto which will see some innovations among the forces in the field. The most striking is the entry of two manufacturers such as Aprilia and Fantic which will be added to Yamahawhich will continue with its own Challenge Tenerè e Beta with his Motorally Master. Aprilia will line up the reigning champion at the wheel of the Tuareg 660 Jacopo Cerutti with the main objective of developing a vehicle that can be used in 2024 in the great International Rally Raid. Alongside Jacopo Francesco Molinari which in a couple of years has climbed the absolute rankings. Fantic, on the other hand, puts himself in the hands of for his return Alex Salvinithe very strong Enduro rider, with a similar project to make the new 450 competitive in big marathons.
Other news: Leo Tonelli will bring the new one to its debut Gas Gas 350, entrusted to him directly from the house, with a self-managed team.
