What is the second season about?
If we look at the logic and the own words of those responsible for the series, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, after having seen the first game adapted in its entirety, we will more or less faithfully follow the story of the second. Five years after what we have seen in this first year, the relationship between Ellie and Joel is deteriorating. Without going into spoilers, we will witness a tragic event and an important character, Abby, will enter the series. At the moment, it is not known to what extent the second season will be faithful to the original sequel.
Who will appear in the series?
No casting confirmations yet. beyond Mazin and Druckmann’s guarantee that we will see Bella Ramsey againwhat will repeat as Ellie. It is practically guaranteed that Pedro Pascal will return as Joel, Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Rutina Wesley as Maria. Dina, who becomes important in the second season and appeared briefly in the first, was played by Paolina Van Kleef. The big question, indisputably, is who will play Abby.

How many seasons of ‘The Last of Us’ are left?
Bazin has already made it clear that he wants to give the series a defined and concrete ending, and not stretch it out indefinitely. Likewise, he’s also said that they can’t possibly fit Game 2 into a single season, so possibly (and considering that one year has been enough for Game 1) we’ll have a total of three seasons.
