Once again the long-awaited film of Super Mario continues to leave us more news. We bring more information ahead of its premiere.
Super Mario Bros.: The Movie
You know, Nintendo offered a first Nintendo Direct of its film with its first teaser trailer, available in Spanish and Latin Spanish. Then a second Nintendo Direct was shared with another trailer that you can also see in these languages. And now we get more news from the Mario movie.
This is more information on how the voice actors have managed to bring their respective characters to life. In an interview with Animation Magazine, the director was asked Michael Jelenic about it, and he has responded like this:
Sometimes in the animation community people think you can’t use celebrities, but I think it’s easy to forget that these are great artists and they have all proven themselves multiple times and created iconic characters. We cast them in the roles because we felt they could bring to life these video game characters, who don’t really have much of a personality, and make them relatable, funny, and heroic. Literally every single person in this movie is great.
Chris Pratt is great at playing an everyman who’s funny, but you’d also buy him as a hero. Charlie Day is the perfect embodiment of what you think Luigi is. And then you have Jack Black playing Bowser, and we decided to make that character scary, but the other side of Bowser is someone who’s vulnerable and funny, and Jack can play both parts and make them not seem like two different characters. It’s kind of humbling to work with this talent. From the French studio to the vocal cast, every single person has stood out in this film.
