The shooting of Mission Impossible 8, whose official title is Mission Impossible: Deadly Judgment – Part II, has had an interesting couple of weeks. The movie starring Tom Cruise had plans to film in Svalbard a protected archipelago in Norwegian territory.
Unfortunately, as we told you at Hobby Consolas, the film ran into obstacles from the Norwegian government, which expressed its concern that the filming, with the Department, the technical equipment and all the paraphernalia, disturb the wildlife. Although there were concessions, many areas of the archipelago were closed for filming.
The team of Christopher McQuarrie has been adapted and the Tom Cruise movie has been able to film the required scenes in Svalbard, where the actor and director have been able to enjoy an unbeatable environment.
Filming for Mission Impossible 8 has already come to an end on the Norwegian coast, and it is heading to its next destination in the following days.
Mission Impossible 8 says goodbye to one of its most beautiful environments
In an Instagram post, the director of Mission Impossible: Deadly Judgment – Part II wanted to thank the companies that facilitated filming in Norway and spoke a bit about the challenges of location, as well as its indescribable beauty.
“This crew has faced quite a few extremes during these three years of filming around the world. We came here ready for our biggest challenge yet, and discovered a place of incomprehensible contradictions; more beautiful than brutal, more majestic than menacing. , more reassuring than cold, more fragile than frozen.
We came to fight the elements and we quickly found ourselves seduced. We did what the environment told us to do and we got more than we could have hoped for. While it’s not for the faint of heart, it’s a place that will change you forever, as long as you remember: You don’t beat the Arctic. The Arctic lets you win.”
Mission Impossible 8 will continue the long tradition of the saga of Tom Cruise who has seen the actor and the rest of the cast visiting iconic and stunningly beautiful places around the globe.
Before we see Tom Cruise’s little arctic trip, we’ll have him doing some crazy things in the previous movie, Mission Impossible: Deadly Judgment – Part I, Hitting Theaters July 14, 2023.
