THE LAST OF US is a new gem for HBO MAX. Impressions of the series without spoilers!
At a recent press event attended by Screen Rant, Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin shared some details about the upcoming season 2 of The Last of Us.
During the talk, Mazin addressed the reasoning behind the combination of action and character development in season 1 while also dropping the appearance of “a lot more infected” in season 2.
“At times, we had to make decisions about how we wanted to present the infected. I will say that even though we had a green light for a season of television, Neil and I felt that we couldn’t do a season of television without considering what would come next.
There’s more The Last of Us to come, and I think the balance isn’t always just about episode, or even episode to episode, but season to season. It is very possible that there will be many more infected later, and perhaps of different types.
The creators of The Last of Us comment on what we can expect from the second season, cast, duration…
But within the episodes that we were concentrating on, I think ultimately we generally emphasized the power of relationships and tried to find meaning within the moments of action, so there may be less action than some people think. they wanted.
Because we couldn’t necessarily find meaning to enough of it, or worry that it would be repetitive. After all, you’re not playing it, you’re watching it.and although many people like to see the gameit should be a little more focused and useful when we put it on TV,” Mazin said.
Do you think that The Last of Us series would have needed an episode more focused on the infected or is the season of The Last of Us perfect? HBO Max as is? Tell us your opinions in our comments section.
