The new Kawasaki Z650 e Ninja 650 they share the same technical base, and the innovations introduced on my 2023. The main one is the arrival of the standard KTRC system, traction control of Kawasaki, which can be set on three levels of intervention (1, 2 or off). Level 1 is the least intrusive, while level 2 is more focused on security. You can also choose to disable KTRC altogether. Like other 2023 novelties luci full LED and new colors.
The technical basis remains unchanged: to push the bikes we find the parallel twin of 649 cc and 68 CV and 64 Nm set in a tubular-type trellis frame (the bike is also available in the 35 Kw reduced power version to be ridden by A2 license holders). As for the suspension, we have a traditional 41 mm front fork and a single shock absorber with adjustable preload. The braking system uses two petal discs at the front with a two-piston axial caliper, while at the rear we find a single 220 mm disc with a single-piston caliper. The saddle is 790 mm from the ground, the tank has a capacity of 15 litres and the weight is 193 for the Ninja. 5 kg more than the naked due to the fairings and the front frame which increase the weight of the bike. In addition to the aesthetics, the only technical difference is in the handlebars, with the Z sporting a classic high naked handlebar and the Ninja sporting clip-on handlebars.
