The Umbrians move away from the playout area and win the third game out of four. Apulians not very incisive
A goal by Partipilo to knock down a not very dangerous Bari on the pitch, take 11th place in the standings and thus move away from the playout area (now six points away). Ternana wins and convinces. Since Cristiano Lucarelli returned to the bench in place of Aurelio Andreazzoli, from the away match in Palermo to today, his team have lost only one of their last four games. Mignani’s instead falls (he hadn’t done it since the end of January at home against Perugia) and is now fourth, overtaken by Sudtirol who won on Saturday against Spal (2-0). The Apulians are called to react immediately after the break: between two Saturdays at 16.15, at the San Nicola, Benevento arrives.
Ternana better in the first 45′
—
Ternana got off to a better start, scaring in the 12th minute with a shot from the edge of Partipilo (Caprile is good at blocking). For the goal, just wait seven more minutes: Falletti puts it in the center from the left, Coulibaly is good at making the veil, while the number 21 stops and only has to place it with his left foot. For the forward it is the fifth goal of the season, for the Bari goalkeeper instead the moment of unbeaten ends: the last time he was beaten by Lapadula four days ago, in Bari-Cagliari 1-1 on 18 February. The Apulians are not very dangerous in the first fraction and show up just on two occasions: first with a sliding shot from Botta, then with a razor from Cheddira. In both, the ball went just wide. In front both the Moroccan and Scheidler find it hard to find each other, while in the final Caprile is good at anticipating Partipilo’s aerial shot.
Few emotions
—
Even the second half begins with a Ternana who immediately raises the pace. Moral of the story: Caprile is one of Bari’s best. In the 57th minute he is good at blocking a shot from outside Falletti with his fists, then making the ball his own before Partipilo arrives. Mignani doesn’t like it and is looking for more offensive solutions in his 4-3-1-2 formation, inserting Antenucci Bellomo, Morachioli and Benali. In the central part of the fraction, however, the pace slowed down and the game slowed down until the 82nd minute, when Iannarilli got excited on Antenucci’s long shot from outside. The five minutes of added time don’t bring any other emotions. Lucarelli’s Ternana passes through Liberati.
