With a month of broadcasts on the Las Estrellas signal, the telenovela “Eternally loving us”, a melodrama starring Alejandra Robles Gil, Marcus Ornellas and Diana Bracho, had a great response from the public with high ratings despite having a complicated schedule, such as 4:30 p.m.
The 120-episode production tells the story of “Paula” (Alejandra Robles Gil) and “Rogelio” (Marcus Ornellas), who meet in Mexico City and, after living a dizzying romance, decide to get married but do not give notice to the gallant’s family In this way, they will discover that their union shakes the foundations of the “Iturbide” family; They will fight tough battles, sure, but all to prove that true love prevails.
The young actor Marcus Ornellas, in a chat with THE REPORTER, assures that “I was on tour with a play, outside the city, and they offered me to take part in a casting for a production by Silvia Cano; I was interested, but I couldn’t. I gave up on that opportunity, but they called me some time later and, coincidentally, I was in the city; I went to the casting and, I think, I was the last to join the cast”.
This, the actor points out, “was very good, because the tour he was on had not yet finished and the recordings had already begun. It was just two weeks, in which I was traveling with the play and recording the soap opera; a lot of work, but very rewarding. Now, With more than four months of recording, I couldn’t be happier with the results, especially the great acceptance of the public.”.
“The truth —says Ornellas— we have had an almost historic rating for the time the plot is broadcast; we have reached three million in the second week, and since the premiere there have been more than two million viewers. For the schedule, I repeat, it is a fabulous response, and that is satisfactory because the schedule is very difficult, and we are grateful to the people”.
Ornellas also affirms that the cast could not be better; “Diana Bracho, who plays my mother, is not only a great actress, she is also an example of discipline, commitment and love for what she does. This project has been lovely because we all get along; no matter what happens on stage, off stage we hug each other and love each other a lot, it’s wonderful”.
In addition to that, says the actor, “there is a cast of very talented and dedicated young people; I also highlight the direction we have, two professionals like Rodrigo Cachero and Silvia Tort, with whom we have managed to do things naturally, a very organic performance and not at all stuffy. These types of stories and performances are needed at this time, to show people that things can be done well and with love, and thus it is easier to reach the public. For me, the only way to work is to do it in harmony”.

Ornellas explains that the story of the melodrama “touches on strong themes”: “It talks about matriarchy and the dominance of the mother over the children, but at the same time there are endearing characters, like ‘Paula’, who is my wife on the soap opera, a A woman who lives in the city, a singer, very free, and ‘Rogelio’ sees in her what he cannot be, so he respects and loves her. And that will put him in conflict with the mother. There is everything in this story, that makes people connect with the project”.
For his career, Ornellas affirms that this telenovela marks a special moment, since “it comes at a very beautiful moment in my career; I feel fulfilled personally and professionally, I am grateful to this project because I work in harmony, without stress, without conflicts derived from the ego, without arguments. It is a love project, which has given me a breather and, despite the enormous work, they are pleasant hours, because we adore what we do”.
