A curious visual novel is about to be released on April 4 for PC and it is Tax Heaven 3000. What is the curiosity of the launch? The dating game has as its main objective teach and help the player calculate taxes based on the income system of the United States, important information for those who live in the North American country and know how difficult it is to do this paperwork.
The interesting game created by the art collective MSCHF which is premised that “calculating taxes in the game means calculating taxes in real life”, was going to be released on the Steam and itch.io platforms, however, just two weeks after its premiere, the page that had Tax Heaven 3000 on the Valve platform disappeared completely,, something that surprised those who had the novel on the wish list.
MSCHF co-founder Daniel Greenberg told The Verge that they don’t know why Steam so abruptly rejected the release, arguing that the game had already passed the platform’s standard verification processes, but that it sudden, the game was deverified and removed from the platform for no apparent reason.
In any case, Tax Heaven 3000 can be found on the itch.io platform, in addition to being able to find it directly on the creators’ website and that it will soon have a collector’s version, for all those who are interested in learning how to calculate taxes with the help of Iris, the protagonist who is an expert in numbers.
