Serbia has started qualifying for the 2024 European Championship with a victory over Lithuania. Dusan Tadic played an important role in the 2-0 victory in Belgrade.
Tadic gave Serbia the lead after more than fifteen minutes. The captain of Ajax did this after preparatory work by Juventus player Filip Kostic, who also played for FC Groningen.
Soon after the restart Dusan Vlahovic made it 2-0. Tadic’s assist came with this goal. Tadic was replaced about fifteen minutes before the end.
In the same group, Montenegro beat Bulgaria 0-1. Nikola Krstovic scored the goal.
