Suara.com – Decades have passed since its release in August 1986, and the film Stand by Me has finally appeared on Netflix. Based on the novel The Body (1982) by Stephen King, this film is called the best and timeless youth drama film.

This film tells the story of the journey of four 12-year-old teenagers, namely Gordie, Chris, Teddy, and Vern. The setting was taken in Castle Rock, Oregon in 1959.
The four of them have quite similar backgrounds, namely children who have wounds in their hearts because of the treatment of their families and society.
Gordie, who is the main character and narrator, is a child who received less attention from his father and was left to die by his beloved brother.
Chris, a broken home child where he lives gives him a negative stigma. Then there’s Teddy who grew up as a victim of violence from his crazy father. Lastly, there is Vern, an innocent boy who is always the victim of other people’s pranks.

Four friends embark on a summer trip after hearing of a boy’s missing body. They went into the forest to find the missing child.
During the journey taken, the four actually learn about themselves. They also discover the meaning of friendship and what is right and must be defended. Gordie cs also got to know each other’s lives which turned out to be full of wounds.
The four friends want to be the first to find the boy’s body in hopes of gaining fame. Unfortunately, they weren’t the only ones who wanted to find the body earlier.
Because a group of naughty teenagers led by Ace Merrill are also trying to find the body. In this search, Gordie, Chris, Teddy, and Vern actually managed to find the truth and identity of each.
