Counter-Strike 2 leaks are a hoax?
The community has found supposed clues to a sequel in a recent Nvidia driver update and a Dota 2 update. Players now think all of this is suspicious, as Valve hasn’t said anything about it and, furthermore, Counter- Strike: Global Offensive is extremely popular.
For this reason, many argue that the study has no reason to release a new installment or even an updated version. Likewise, there are people who doubt that Valve will leak information about such an important project. Due to all this, there are those who say that everything is a joke.
“Valve is just messing with us and there won’t be any CS:GO with Source 2, it’s just an April Fools joke,” one player wrote on reddit (via The Gamer).
There are also users who believe that it is a simple confusion, since they think that the Nvidia files actually referred to Cities: Skylines 2 and not to Counter-Strike 2. As if that were not enough, an anonymous source assured that the Beta of the Valve’s supposed project will start on April 1, that is, right on April Fools Day.
Part of the community still has hope and wants the project to come true. However, other players have missed the initial excitement that the leaks sparked. As of this writing, Valve hasn’t said anything about it.
