A couple of weeks ago Bloomberg said that WB Games could postpone Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League in the second half of 2023. While, according to a report by Jeff Grubb, the game will hit shelves by 2024. Jason Schreier said the game could come out this year but Warner is still unsure when.
Even if the core gameplay live service will be postponed, it will not be changed. In fact, many of the staff working on the game are reportedly very enthusiastic and optimistic about combat and the game world. Andy Robinson nel VGC podcast stated that it will not be a new Gotham Knights. Here are his words:
“It’s interesting because some of the people I’ve talked to who are working on the game really have a lot of positive things to say about it, especially compared to Gotham Knights. I’ve been told this isn’t another Gotham Knights and that everyone working on it is pretty optimistic about the combat loops they’ve made, the game world and stuff like that.”
The recent Gotham Knights was much criticized for its gameplay and lack of variety in its gameplay, a very basic AI and stealth sections left behind the times. Fans of the Batman Arkham series have very high expectations and Warners must be careful not to disappoint them.
In the meantime we remind you that Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League will see the debut on May 26 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. A postponement has not yet been officially announced and we urge you to take these rumors with a grain of salt.
